Prospective immigrants with the knowledge and experience sought after by the Northwest Territories may qualify for a Provincial Nomination Certificate through the NTNP, which will enable them to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.
The NTNP accepts applications under two programs, one of which has three distinct streams :

Northwest Territories - Express Entry Stream
Express Entry candidates who match the requirements for the Northwest Territories Skilled Worker stream are nominated through the NTNP Express Entry Stream for Skilled Workers. Foreign nationals may be eligible to apply for this Express Entry Stream for Skilled Workers if they have been accepted into the federal Express Entry pool.
Skilled Worker Stream
The NTNP Skilled Worker Stream permits the Government of the Northwest Territories to propose candidates who have been extended an employment offer by a Northwest Territories employer in a skilled position. Candidates must have completed at least six months of employment in the role in the Northwest Territories.
Entry Level/Semi-Skilled Occupations
The Government of the Northwest Territories can assist firms in filling entry-level job shortages when they cannot locate a qualified Canadian candidate locally or nationally through the NTNP Entry Level/Semi-Skilled Occupations program. Candidates must have completed at least six months of employment in the role in the Northwest Territories.
Business Stream
The NTNP Firm Stream is designed for foreign nationals who can establish, buy, or invest in an existing business in the Northwest Territories that benefits or has the potential to improve the Territory's economy and create jobs.
