NOVA SCOTIA NOMINEE PROGRAM (NSNP)
Prospective immigrants who fit the province's criteria for skills and experience may be granted a Nova Scotia Provincial Nomination Certificate through this procedure.
In 2003, the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) was established. It was established to aid in addressing the province's immigration demands and economic and labour market needs.
Due to the creation and ongoing expansion of the NSNP as well as the launch of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP) in 2017, immigration to Nova Scotia has tripled over the past 20 years. Today, Nova Scotia receives more than 7,000 new immigrants annually.

Enhancement denotes alignment with the Express Entry system for the subcategory. Express Entry is a technology that the federal government uses to manage applications for permanent residence submitted through Canada's primary economic class immigration programs.
A point score is assigned to applicants in the Express Entry system based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). In regular Express Entry drawings, Canada invites the top applicants to submit applications for permanent residency.
You gain an additional 600 CRS points for receiving a nomination from an upgraded provincial program, effectively ensuring that you will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence. Through your Express Entry profile, you are also nominated.
